Susan Montgomery is a multi-talented artist, author, and musician who fearlessly embraces life’s challenges while nurturing her creativity. Despite grappling with chronic pain and medical issues, Susan finds solace and inspiration through her artistic pursuits, leaning on her faith, family, and sense of humor for support. Her passion for exploration has fueled her recent love for watercolor painting, as she revels in the fascinating journey that unfolds as water and color converge on the paper.

During the pandemic, Susan discovered a newfound affinity for music and writing. Immersed in the joy of music, she began composing ukulele melodies when she had to learn to play with one hand temporarily due to pain. Susan delved into self-publishing and has authored an impressive collection of ten books spanning various genres. Her repertoire includes the Ukulele Expressions series, which showcases music tailored for one-handed play, a delightful children’s book celebrating the ukulele, heartfelt Christian devotionals, and inspiring poetry reflecting her experiences with medical conditions. Each of Susan’s books includes her own illustrations, which blend art with songs, scriptures, rhymes, and other elements.

Susan’s artistic journey includes earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education from Bowling Green State University. Currently living in Bowling Green, Ohio, she shares her life with her beloved tuxedo cat, Tracey. Susan’s creative spirit, determination, and boundless imagination continue to shape her path as she strives to inspire others through her writing, art, and unwavering resilience.
