Michael P. Hill resides in Toledo, Ohio, and has been a member of the Toledo Artists’ Club since 2015. He is a self-taught artist using watercolor, acrylic, and graphite. His focus is on texture, detail, color, and lighting to emphasize what is often overlooked. As a member of Toledo Artists’ Club, he has won over 40 awards and is a member in two of the club’s groups: Monday Morning Painters and the Thursday group.

Hill does most of his work in the studio, but he looks forward to working outdoors in the future.

Artist Statement:

“My inspiration comes from looking closely at the world around me, then challenging myself to visually express what I see and feel. I work mainly in watercolor, acrylics and occasionally graphite. I’m always trying to push the limit of my skill. I find that is the best way to learn.”
